Hosting a wonderful house party for all of my couple friends is one of my favorite weekend activities! I love getting all of our friends together to laugh, drink our favorite cocktails, and play some very fun games! It’s such a pleasure to have bragging rights among our friends about the winning pair!

List Of Fun Couples Games for a House Party
Ice Cream Challenge
This game always gets everyone laughing. We played it with several couples, and it turned out to be much harder than it sounds.
First, the guys were blindfolded and asked to stand on one side of the room while the women lined up across from them. Each couple was given a bowl of ice cream. The fun part was that the women had to feed their partners by holding a spoon in their teeth. No hands allowed.
Trying to keep the ice cream on the spoon while finding your partner and getting them to take a bite was hilarious. The first couple to finish their bowl won the game.
Find Your Partner in a Bag
This was one of the funniest icebreaker games we tried at a house party.
The men were sent to another room while the women stayed behind. Then everyone had a large paper bag placed over their head before the men came back into the room.
The challenge was simple but surprisingly difficult. Everyone had to find their partner without speaking or touching each other’s bodies.
Instead, they had to rely on small clues and careful movements to figure out who was who. Once they thought they had found their match, they gave a signal.
Watching everyone wander around trying to identify their partner was entertaining for everyone in the room. The couples who couldn’t find each other were out of the game.
Couple’s Tug of War
We also tried a couple’s version of tug of war, and it was far more competitive than expected. Instead of competing alone, both partners held the rope together and faced another couple. Everyone quickly got invested in winning.
One round became especially memorable when we blindfolded one partner and had them rely entirely on their significant other’s directions. It definitely added a new level of teamwork and chaos.
Tie the Ribbon
This was one of those simple games that turned out to be surprisingly competitive.
Before the party started, we cut red ribbon into different lengths and hid the pieces all around the house. Once the game began, each couple had to search for as many pieces as possible. Every time they found a ribbon, they tied it to the others they had collected.
The challenge was finding enough pieces before everyone else did. By the end, the room was filled with couples racing around and comparing ribbon lengths. The couple with the longest ribbon at the end won the game.
Two Truths and a Lie: Couples Edition
One of the easiest games to set up was Two Truths and a Lie with a relationship twist. Each person shared two true stories and one made-up story about their relationship, while everyone else tried to spot the lie.
Some of the stories were surprisingly convincing, and a few revealed things none of us knew before. Using themes like first dates, vacations, or funny habits made the guessing even more challenging.
The Newlywed Game
This game always brings out funny stories and unexpected answers.
We took turns asking couples questions about each other to see how well they really knew their partner. The questions can be sweet, funny, or a little challenging, depending on the crowd. Some answers matched perfectly, while others left everyone laughing.
As long as you keep the questions lighthearted, it’s a great way to get everyone involved and learn a few new things about your friends.
Guess the Couple
This game was a huge hit at one of our parties.
We wrote the names of famous celebrity couples on paper labels and stuck one on each person’s back without letting them see it. The goal was to figure out which celebrity couple was on your label by asking your partner yes-or-no questions.
The fun part was watching people try to connect the clues while their partner struggled not to give too much away. The couples who guessed correctly, the fastest earned bragging rights for the night.
Couple’s Memory Test
The memory game turned out to be a lot more difficult than people expected. We placed a collection of random objects on a tray and gave couples a short amount of time to study them.
After covering the tray, everyone had to write down as many items as they could remember. Watching couples debate whether they saw a particular object was almost as entertaining as the game itself.
Using smaller, similar-looking items made the challenge even tougher.
Love Letter Challenge
One of the most creative games of the night involved writing love letters using only emojis. Everyone had a limited amount of time to create a message for their partner without using a single word.
The real fun started when partners tried to decode what the emojis were supposed to mean. Some interpretations were spot on, while others were completely off the mark. By the end, everyone was voting on the funniest and most creative messages.
Cards Against Humanity
You can never go wrong with Cards Against Humanity when you have a group of couples together.
We’ve played this at several house parties, and it always gets people laughing. The game is easy to learn, moves quickly, and gives everyone a chance to show off their sense of humor. Just make sure your group is comfortable with the game’s style of comedy before getting started.
Pop Culture Trivia
This game was a great way to bring out everyone’s competitive side. We put together a mix of questions about movies, TV shows, music, and books, then had couples take turns answering them. Some people dominated the older pop culture questions, while others were experts on more recent trends, which kept things balanced and fun.
One of the best rounds involved adding a timer. Having only a few seconds to answer made everyone think on their feet and added a lot of excitement.
You can also make the game more interactive by playing short song clips or showing scenes from popular movies for couples to identify.

The Opposite Game
This game sounds easy until you’re actually playing it.
Choose one person to act as the host. Couples stand facing each other and listen carefully to every instruction. The catch is that they must do the exact opposite of what the host says.
If the host says “jump,” players might sit down or stay still instead. Anyone who accidentally follows the instructions is out. It gets harder as the game speeds up, and watching couples try not to react automatically is hilarious.
The last couple of remaining wins.
Couple’s Truth or Dare
Truth or Dare is always a classic, and giving it a couples twist worked really well at our party. Couples took turns choosing between a relationship question or a fun challenge.
The dares were kept lighthearted and focused on teamwork, which led to plenty of laughs. We also allowed one skip per couple, which helped keep things comfortable and fun for everyone.
Pop the Balloon
This game always gets the energy level up.
Each couple receives several balloons and has five minutes to pop as many as possible. The twist is that they can’t use their hands. Instead, they have to work together and pop the balloons by pressing them against one partner’s back.
It sounds simple, but it quickly turns into a lot of laughter, awkward balancing, and creative teamwork. The couple that pops the most balloons before time runs out wins.
Couples Scavenger Hunt
A scavenger hunt was another crowd favorite. We hid items throughout the house and backyard and created clues for couples to solve together. The combination of searching, problem-solving, and racing against other couples made it surprisingly exciting.
Some clues led directly to the next challenge, which kept everyone engaged until the very end.

This game had everyone laughing from start to finish.

Adult Family Feud
This was one of the easiest games to get everyone involved in.
We split into two teams made up of couples and went head-to-head just like the classic game show. Even though it wasn’t as wild as some of the other party games, it ended up being one of the most entertaining parts of the night.
Everyone got competitive, and the guessing often led to some pretty funny moments. It’s a great option if you want a game that everyone can enjoy.
The Game Of Things
This is easily one of my favorite party games.
I’ve played it with family, friends, and even older kids, but there’s something especially fun about playing it with a group of adults. The game is simple to learn, and the answers people come up with are often hilarious.
Every round feels different, which keeps the game fresh no matter how many times you play. If your group enjoys this one, there’s also a version called Nasty Things that adds a more adult twist to the experience.
What Do You Meme?
This game has become a regular at our get-togethers.
The goal is simple: match captions to funny memes and try to create the most entertaining combination. It doesn’t take long before everyone is laughing and defending why their card should win the round.
It’s easy to play, works well with groups, and is perfect for couples who enjoy a good sense of humor.
The “Who Knows Best?” Quiz
This game always leads to some surprising discoveries.
Before the party, each person shared a few fun facts about themselves, including favorite foods, memorable experiences, and random personal details. During the game, partners had to answer questions about each other and see how well they really knew their significant other.
Some couples answered nearly every question correctly, while others were shocked by how much they didn’t know. The funniest moments usually came from the wrong answers.
To keep the energy up, we added playful consequences for missing a question, like doing a silly dance or sharing a funny story about their partner. It kept everyone laughing and made the game even more entertaining.

If I had to pick one board game for a house party, this would be near the top of the list.
We’ve played it countless times, and it never gets old. Couples work together to connect clues and guess the right words while avoiding the wrong ones. It sounds simple, but it quickly becomes a game of strategy, teamwork, and plenty of second-guessing.
Every round feels different, and it’s one of those games people always ask to play again once it ends.
